MOQify Support
Support and Setup Guide
MOQify lets merchants run threshold-based preorder campaigns inside Shopify: show a $0 checkout entry point, disclose payment amount, charge timing, and cancellation rules before collecting payment.
Quick setup checklist
- Create a campaign with the product, target quantity, deadline, ship date, and trigger mode fully confirmed.
- Install the MOQify widget on the Online Store 2.0 product template used by the campaign product and save the theme editor changes.
- The theme editor shows a generic widget preview; on the storefront, MOQify only shows the widget on products that are part of a campaign and automatically hides it on other products.
- Hide the native product purchase buttons on the preorder template so buyers can't bypass the campaign flow.
- Confirm that the shop's payment gateway supports deferred purchase flows and that the acting admin can charge vaulted cards.
- Run one end-to-end storefront test from product page to checkout, including the $0 CTA and payment/cancellation rows, before going live.
What merchants can do in MOQify
Create campaigns
Bind a Shopify product, set the target quantity and deadline, define the shipping promise, and choose whether charges happen on reach or at the deadline.
Operate active campaigns
Monitor progress, add manual supplement units, and terminate campaigns if needed before charge collection starts.
Handle campaign outcomes
Buyers receive transactional emails, successful campaigns proceed to charge and fulfillment, and failed campaigns release holds automatically.
Compatibility and buyer protection
- MOQify supports Online Store 2.0 themes through a Theme App Extension widget.
- MOQify uses Shopify Selling Plan deferred billing, so gateway support for deferred purchase is required.
- The storefront widget shows today's checkout amount, the later payment amount, charge timing, and cancellation rule before checkout.
- Buyer cancellation support is included through the transactional email cancel link while a preorder remains cancelable.
- When a campaign doesn't meet its goal, buyer payment authorizations are released instead of refunded after charge.
Troubleshooting checklist
- If the widget doesn't show on a campaign product, confirm the app block is installed on that product's template and that the theme editor changes were saved.
- If the widget doesn't show on a product that is not part of a campaign, that is expected: MOQify hides the storefront widget automatically.
- If buyers can still use the native purchase path, hide or remove native add-to-cart and buy-now buttons on the preorder template.
- If charges don't trigger, check the campaign trigger mode, gateway compatibility, admin permissions, and whether the real total including supplement units reached the goal.
- If transactional emails don't arrive, confirm the sending domain and sender address configured for the production environment.
